Subversion Repo for Bodhi Source

**announcing the arrival of subversion version control for the Bodhi CMS**

i have finally setup the subversion repository for the Bodhi CMS source code and templates. i have separated the django project itself from the templates, since the templates will need more constant revision and those folks who work with the templates will need a more flexible and unrestrictive repository than that of the python source code. at least, that has been my experience in the past. UI changes happen more frequently and often at a moments notice, so we need to accomodate this type of environment. we are not so much concerned with versioning (although that can definitely be useful in case you need to roll back to a stable version), but more with maintaining a repository for backup and recovery purposes. as always, anyone who breaks the build is publicly humiliated, so be certain that your merge does not upset the balance of the force. here are the URLs for browsing and checkout via svn: [https://staging.prkreative.com/svnroot/bodhi/](https://staging.prkreative.com/svnroot/bodhi/) [https://staging.prkreative.com/svnroot/django_templates/](https://staging.prkreative.com/svnroot/django_templates/) ask me for the username and password. i use command-line when working directly on irulan, and tortoise svn when working from my windows box. there is a similar client for mac called macsvn, a descriptive if not too imaginative name: http://macsvn.sourceforge.net/ you will notice that i have maintained the name "iris" for the top level project name. unfortunately, i was too far along in the process to be able to go through all of the code and change every reference of iris to bodhi, and perhaps we can do that at some point in the future but it just seemed to me to be a low priority, and it is not anything the public we see. the ROOT URI right now is iris, but we can easily change that to whatever we want, presumably bodhi. 0 Comments, 0 trackbacks (Trackback URL)
