Hello world

**migration from staging to production has been an overall success**

this post marks the first blog entry using the release from subversion, which i have installed on the production server under the domain greenlitapp.com . so far so good, but i would imagine that some unforeseen things will crop up, especially since we are using python 2.4 in production and 2.3 in staging. this will change, however, as soon as i have the opportunity to install python 2.4 on irulan. poco a poco. for now, i need to document the subtle differences between staging and production. i have maintained the system path for the application and for django source, so no problem there. the main difference is with python 2.4. in our environment, we now must reference the python 2.4 libraries and executables, which can be accomplished in the .bashrc, and which i documented [here](/iris/blog/2006/jul/13/python-and-django-environment-production/). for now, we will continue to use the same root_uri "iris", so no need to worry about that yet. 0 Comments, 0 trackbacks (Trackback URL)
