Is the Series The Sons of Anarchy Worth My Time?

I was quite upset when Clay moved in and made off with Half Sack's girl, just to spite him for saying that Gemma gave him a MILF chubby. Bastard.

I have not decided yet if I enjoy The Sons of Anarchy, the new FX series staring big names like Katey Sagal and Ron Perlman. The stories are well written, the scripts are fluid and breath verisimilitude, and the back story is intreguing.  You have the history of the MC and the founders and how the main character's (Jax) now deceased father fits into that apparently disputed past; you hav Jax' past relationships with his old girlfriend (Tara) and his estranged wife (Wendy); and now we have the dark past of Tara's relationship with the evil ATF agent.  The characters are real, they are not one dimensional bikers like you would expect.  They are characters you might find in a Miyazaki film, who operate in a grey zone of ethics, whose behaviour is morally justified at one point and then completely reprehensible at another.  They are heroes and villians, knights and misognynists, comrads and racists.  Perhaps my gutteral loathing for them and the deep respect I hold for their philosophy and community gives credence to Kurt Sutter's craft and vision.  You have to respect a writter who can slip in a quote from Emma Goldman, as he did in the latest episode, even though the biker movement in general and this MC specifically have missed the point entirely of anarchy and its socio-political mission and the anarcho syndicalist movement, which is currently in ascention in most parts of Europe.
